Borderlands Region

From 2005 through to 2013 Newfrontiers churches in Staffordshire, Shropshire and North Wales used the name "Borderlands" as a short-hand way of describing their relationship together.

This relationship gave practical expression to a prophetic word over Newfrontiers that "we can do more together than we can apart" - and was worked out through friendship between leaders, rather than any formal or legal framework.

The team which served the Borderlands churches was initially led by Martin Charlesworth (lead elder of Barnabas Community Church in Shrewsbury) and latterly by Nigel Lloyd (lead elder at Gateway Church in Wrexham).

The churches that formed the Borderlands region are listed to the right of this page where clicking on the name will take you to the relevant church web pages. Below is a map of the area with the churches marked. (Note that you can zoom in, drag the map and switch to a satellite view.)
