Borderlands 2006
Borderlands 2006 took place over the end of May Bank Holiday weekend at Cefn Lea Park when churches from across the Borderlands region came together for their first regional camp.
After the initial exertion of getting unpacked into the site accommodation, or setting up camp with their own equipment, there was plenty of opportunity to enjoy the time with friends and make use of the varied facilities on site.
There was a full programme over the weekend for all ages and the guest speaker was Andrew Davies. In addition to speaking at some of the main meetings, Andrew and his wife Liz also took two morning seminars on "Marriage and Family". As well as inspiring worship and teaching, the weekend also provided many opportunities for making new friends and seeing others in a different context. In particular on Sunday evening there was an opportunity to discover the variety of talent lurking in the churches. During the course of this we gained some helpful insights into what our next Alpha course might be like should Mr Bean and Michael Crawford turn up!
