Speakers for Borderlands 2011
We are delighted that the line up of speakers for Together at Borderlands will again include Jeremy Simpkins, Martin Charlesworth and Dave Fellingham. We are also welcoming for the first time Tony Smith. We look forward to each of their unique contributions.
Martin and Jane Charlesworth
Martin trained as a teacher returning to Shrewsbury in 1985. He soon joined the leadership of Barnabas Community Church becoming lead elder in 1994.
Martin is married to Jane, and they have three daughters. Until recently Martin oversaw the Borderlands region of churches but from the start of 2011 has led a team developing Newfrontiers UK ministry to the poor.
Dave and Rosie Fellingham
Dave is internationally recognised as a songwriter, worship leader and conference speaker, and has authored two books Worship Restored and To the Praise of His Glory.
Dave is married to Rosie who assists in counselling and hospitality. They have two sons.
Nigel and Cally Lloyd
Nigel is married to Cally and they have two daughters, Rachael and Amy. After church planting in Lewes, Nigel and Cally moved north to Rugeley in 1996 to lead Rugeley Community Church, then in 2005 onto Wrexham to church plant.
They have a passion to establish a vibrant and effective church in Wrexham and to go on to plant other churches in mid and North Wales.
Jeremy and Ann Simpkins
Jeremy serves as part of the national Newfrontiers team as well as leading the "North" team which oversees 60+ Churches across the UK and Canada.
Jeremy and Ann moved to Manchester in 2009 to help lead "Christ Central" - a vibrant, city centre Church right in the heart of Manchester.
Tony and Kay Smith
Tony leads Gateway Church, Leeds and is a member of the North Core Team, with particular responsibilities for Yorkshire and the North Midlands. He is very happily married to Kay (33 years on 8th July!) and they have three grown up children and four energetic grandchildren!
Their hobbies are travelling, live theatre and music, sport (Tony, not Kay!), food and drink especially with friends!
